What is Responsible Business Development?

To be responsible is to be “able to answer for one’s conduct and obligations.”1 In today’s world, businesses wishing to develop responsibly must also develop sustainably – that is, their practices must meet “the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”2 Businesses wishing to maintain a competitive advantage in today’s global market must develop a more sophisticated vision of success which includes environmentally and socially responsible practices as well as economic prosperity. This expansion of the traditional “bottom line” approach is known as the “triple bottom line.”

Vision alone, however, is not enough. At Katovich Law Group we recognize that the right strategies combined with the appropriate tools are also necessary to implement lasting change.

Our approach is to integrate sustainable practices into our client’s business at every level - from the way they operate, the way they manage, the development of best practices to avoid litigation, to the imprint they leave behind.

We also recognize that responsible business practices are an essential part of a healthy, resilient community; likewise, a flourishing community will encourage and support the businesses contributing to their health. We structure our services with that focus; supporting the foundation for mutually beneficial relationships between our clients and they community of which they are a part.

At Katovich Law Group, we are as dedicated to our own responsible business practices as we are to our clients. We care for our employees, our community, and the environment.
